The tour begins with a visit to the Castle of Good Hope, one of the oldest colonial buildings in South Africa. At the castle, we will explore its military history, architecture, and exhibitions. After visiting the castle, we will head to the Company’s Garden, admiring the City Hall and the Grand Parade along the way.
The Company’s Garden is a tranquil oasis in the heart of Cape Town. Here, we will explore the gardens, ponds, and historical landmarks, and visit the Iziko South African Museum within the garden to delve into South Africa’s natural and artistic heritage. Additionally, we will visit St. George’s Cathedral and a piece of the Berlin Wall, which was donated to former President Nelson Mandela in 1996.
From the Berlin Wall, we will ascend Table Mountain via the cable car to enjoy panoramic views of Cape Town. The afternoon will be spent exploring the summit, taking photos, and perhaps enjoying a snack or drink at the mountain.
After descending from Table Mountain, we will head back to the city centre to explore the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood, learning about its history, culture, and vibrant Cape Malay community.
